Now that Easter is almost here, how about making a EasterBonnet?
Who would have thought that the world would be in a lockdown during Easter holidays. With lovely weather, it’s difficult to keep kids engaged. But, Hey! We can still make the Bonnets at home and it can be a good time spent together and yes would keep the kids engaged.
Easter Bonnets can be made using available hats at home and if you don’t have one, not to worry. I am sharing easy steps below to make a Bonnet at home using crafts/card paper.
So here you go …
Things you need.
- Crafts papers
- Scissors
- Pen
- Glue
Steps.
1. Take a paper and make two circles,
- One of the size of your kids head with an outer circle, with say a finger size longer than the inner circle.
- Second of the size your kids head
2. Cut the two circles.
3. Now, take the big circle and cut the inner circle leaving some space and cut into stripes as shown in the image below.
4. Take another chart paper and cut a long strip so as to roll into a cylinder with diameter little more than that of your kids head size (as taken for the circles in Step 1).
5. Roll the strip into the cylinder and stick it.
6. Next take the bigger circle and put glue on the stripes
7. Place the cylinder on top of the stripes and stick the stripes inside the cylinder to hold the cylinder.
8. Now we need to make the top, to complete the Bonnet
9. Cut few stripes of paper and stick inside the cylinder as shown in the image.
10. Fold the stripes as shown, put glue and stick the top to complete the Bonnet.
Now, your Bonnet is ready and you can decorate it as you want ๐ For this one I have put some stripes as a basic decoration, but you can go creative. After all, its Easter Bonnet! Sharing another one that is in progress with my little one.
