5 activities to keep a toddler busy

Living in a lockdown, one thing that is always at the back of our minds is ~ How to keep kids busy?? Toddlers have a very small attention span, which doesn’t help either.

Hence, sharing few activities that have really come handy and keeps my little munchkin busy for long. And the cherry on the cake is that she loves all these activities ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

1. Water tub and toys

Time for Peppa Pig and friends to have a little cleanup

This is something that all the kids absolutely love. Fill any bucket/large-bowl with water and put some toys into it. Your little one will be busy with this cleaning activity for longer than you expect. After all which kids do not love messy play ๐Ÿ™‚

How about trying this when you want to have a cup of tea or grab a peaceful meal?

Tip: You can also add some soap if you want and also give a cloth for him/her to wipe the toys.

2. Picasso Fun

My Little Picasso

I am sure your kids love to create a mess and believe me all kids are the same. So, when I know that I need like more than 30 minutes or more to focus on something, I set up a board with a big paper, paints and brushes . And there she goes, enjoying to the fullest.

Tip: Donโ€™t forget to cover the floor and make kids wear the smock. Will save your time while cleaning up.

3. Paper Collage

Little Birdie

Super easy. Find any image on Google and print it out. Tear different color papers and stick the glue on the picture. Now, let your little one stick the pieces. Happy Days! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Tip: You can also let them stick the glue. My little one loves doing this and this happily keeps her busy. Though she not only sticks the papers, but also wants to stick the glue!

4. Shapes Fun

Coloring Shapes

Some effort and youโ€™ll have a busy toddler. Just make a stencil using a foam, cardboard or any other material which is stable enough and not be fiddly with a toddler managing. Get the crayons out and let the little one color perfect shapes. Once you remove the stencil, both Bub and Mumma would be happy with the results.

Tip: You can use paper clips for better stability of the stencil.

5. Magnet Magic

Balcony Decoration

Magnets are always kids favourites! Just find a magnet friendly place and there you go. Since, Charvi was a baby, this has been a hit. Initially she used to stick all the magnets on the refrigerator and played for a long time. And now, we keep on finding new places to keep the curiosity alive. And hey, this time it was our balcony!

Hope your little ones enjoy above activities and give you some peaceful time to grab a cup of tea. Will look forward to your comments in the section below. It would be amazing to know your experience with above and also if you have new ideas to share.

Till then, stay happy! As happy mommas make happy babies ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
